+1 on dropping the tank and cleaning it out, change filter, and flsuh crud out of lines before fuel rail. A bottle of injector cleaner couoldn't hurt either.

Dumb question, where is our fuel filter? In the tank or along the side of the frame?

I would be looking at the 02 sensors. I don't see what else could cause the catalyst inefficiency code, other than the catalytic converter (or lack of one, whatever your situation is). Cleaning the tank out won't hurt anything or cost anything, but if that and some fuel treatment doesn't fix it, might look at 02 sensors. I'm assuming the plenum is good.

Wow...its hard to keep up with this. Have you pulled the O2 yet?

Or keep shotgunning parts at it, eventually you will fix it. And then you will have a good runnin pickup to sell to someone.

Disconnect the fuel line down by the fuel pump(no special tool needed) , then disconnect it up at the fuel rail(special tool needed), then use comp air to blow the line out.
