Cam sensor has nothing to do with ignition. If it is the cause of a misfire, it is because the PCM isn't firing the correct injector.

Checking fuel pressure is easy. Should be able to rent a gauge from the local parts store.

ok so i got some money to fix my truck i put a fuel pump in and a crank sensor in, and it still did it so i let it sit for 3 weeks then i went to sell it and i drove 15 miles to meet the guy didnt skip a beet i told him what it was doing and i told him i have no clue why it isnt acting up so then i drove it for 4 days and it is starting to do it again, now when i replaced the fuel pump i looked in the tank and it looked like there where some globs the size of quarters of black stuff floating in there i didnt think they would do anything just a note, so now im not sure what to do,the check engine light came on but i didnt notice a miss or studder and i went to autozone so they could run the codes, missfire on every cylinder and catalyst efficiency code, i seafoamed it today and bought a new battery but i drove it a couple times before i noticed it missin and jumping again so

Perhaps the stuff in your gas tank either doesn't burn.... and is giving you a miss, or, it is clogging the fuel lines......

How does the cap/rotor/wires/plugs look?

Chances are that its water you are seeing in the gas tank, It looks black because the tank is black and water is clear. Its not that bad to drop the tank and clean it out, 3hrs max labor.
