Five and seven are right next to each other, and also right next to each other in the firing order..... Check your plug wire routing, and condition of the wires.

That's something else you need to figger out. Check the connectors at the PCM, they like to corrode... and cause some interesting problems. Verify that the TPS IS getting it's five volt signal.

so i'm going to check the electrical connections and grounds that I can find. Also gonna try and figure out how to use this volt meter lol

Heyyou, did you ever find any information on the multiport injectors? I'm going to get new ones regardless of my findings. Dodge only offers remanned and there's numerous online ones but not sure what to go with. if i'm gonna pay $80 from dodge and advance auto for single, i'll pay the same for some multiport online. but not if it doesn't have any benefits

You should be able to fine some good deals on some remanufactured 19# Ford 4 hole pintel on Ebay for $100 +/- for a set of 8. Your '01 truck will use the EV6 style and the connector will look like the pic. Stock injectors have only 1 hole in the pentel and the Ford has 4 holes which make for better atomization of the fuel, smoother idle and a little better mpg. The Ford injectors are 19# @ 43.5 psi fuel pressure but with our trucks being 49 psi it will effectively make them 21# which is the same as our stock injectors.

i read somewhere that you should adjust the fuel sync or something like that with the four hole instead of the direct one shot? maybe not fuel sync, can't remember what it was, but something that dodge adjusted it to run rich or something?

No need to reset anything. The PCM will relearn the new fuel flow and will automatically make the necessary adjustments.
