Don't forget to disconnect battery before you start - or it will take longer for PCM to relearn......

Now I have been reading that retarding injector timing a few degrees with new injectors is a 'good idea'. It seems perfectly reasonable to me, since the fuel doesn't need to hit the back of that nice warm intake valve to atomize properly..... it's already nicely atomized because of the injector design, so, instead of shooting it at a pretty much closed valve, it does seem reasonable to wait a few more degrees, and spray into an already moving air stream, so more of it gets into the cylinder, and it doesn't have as much chance of condensing out, while it waits for the valve to open, and air to start flowing.....

God, I would love to see some dyno tests on that.

Retarding the fuel sync makes a noticeable difference, especially off idle.. I dunno about power gains, or massive mileage increases, but the response from the skinny pedal was absolutely noticeable..

4* back, to me, seems optimum.. any more and there was a 'ridge' of response, meaning: a slight hesitation then a lot of response.. I didn't go above 6*...

Idle bounces all over the place.. gotta hold a steady rev whilst its done, of around 1200 rpms..

This is absolutely a good thing when using the four hole injectors..

By the way, though the pcm can work with 19# injectors, you're better suited with 22-24#rs.. I rec the FMS 24# fellers... That's all I'll say about that, because its argumentative territory, and is in at least two other threads.
