Too big of a project? Sway bar and checking tires???? No wieghts mean wheels probably need balanced. Pretty inexpensive. Sway bar can't be that costly.....just saying.....

I agree, shaking at different speeds and not at others is usually indicative of tire/ wheel imbalance. I would take it to a tire shop that can check for imbalances in the tire wheel assembly to make sure the tires and wheels are good. Have them check for runout & high/ low spots. If that is all good have them balanced and go from there worth a try anyway for probably about $35 - $50. The problem may also be alignment, but i would check the tires first. I know that my 1500 is extremely sensitive to road crown and likes to wander when in the left lane on the highway.

Honestly I wouldnt sell it. If the tires have no weight on them take it to a shop that can get everything balanced for you and take the truck for a drive and see how you like it.. I wouldnt give up on it yet.

How are the ball joints and wheel bearings? That will cause side to side and up and down play as well as not having a sway bar

Make sure the driveshaft is balanced too, I just did mine and it made 90 feel like what 65 did previously.

Yup, take it to a tire shop before you give up and sell it, a shop here in town does tire balancing for $5 a tire, just depends on where you take it.

A visit to the alignment shop would cost a little more but they should be able to tell you if you need to replace any steering/suspension components on the front end.
