injector question.
so as soon as i get some spare time im gonna do my plenum again.did it 4 years ago but cheaped out and just replaced the gasket.this time i have the hughes kit and hopefully will have it installed on another kegger.this way im gonna save some time and do a complete swap.my question is to do with injectors, should they be replaced at a certain mileage or just wait till they fail?
thanks
thanks
i would leave the inectors there. However, if you want to get a cheap set that will be an UPGRADE, then get these for 169.

19 lb/hr and they have a 4 hole design. They have a better flow pattern than my 4 hole generation IIs. The only thing is that you will need to replace the connectors (8 of them) on your wiring harness. It is a pretty crappy job because you are soldering in tight spaces.
I would just leave them alone. If they break, then get the better ones. Most of the time, when a part fails, you replace it with a better part. Just don't go over 19 lb/hr on replacements unless you have serious mods (cam/heads or turbo. But Injectors for a turbo setup will come with the kit)

I would change the filters in the ends of the injectors and the o rings; I was amazed at what I found in mine. Injectors don’t last forever they have roughly a 100,000mile life time. You can test then electrically but that won’t guarantee that they flow fuel. This is just a link to show you there are service kits out there. Also take the time to flush out the fuel rails.

There are two possible type's for your truck, the best bet is to see if you can read the part numbers on the top of your injectors.

Whoever is looking at making ev6 harness match ev1 injectors, I have a set of the adapters I'll part with..
As far as injectors go, I'd rec OE replacements for a stock engine.. if you have an sct tuned from hemi, write him and ask him what he has experience with tuning.. he nailed mine on the first shot.. I run FMS gen iii 22#'rs, and the curve was 6%...
