I'd suggest following the instructions from Hughes Engines: http://www.hughesengines.com/Upload/...orcementV8.pdf

-No gasket sealer for the plenum gasket.
-Optional: use silicone on the four corners of the intake when you're installing the new manifold gaskets. As there is a potential for the gaskets to not seal properly, the silicone will lessen that chance. <---I did this on mine.

If you have a schrader valve on the rail just push the valve down with a screwdriver and let the remaining fuel out of the lines. Or you can take out the fuel pump fuse/relay, turn the engine on--it will then stall, crank it a few times to make sure the system is depressurized.

You don't have to remove the injectors or the rails. But I did, found a cracked injector that I probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't remove it. Also replaced the injector o-rings.

Click on "quick links" at the top of the page (the black bar w/ user cp, photo gallery, faq, etc.), then click 'edit signature'

or... Click on "user cp" at the top left. on that page at the left it says 'edit signature'

We made a special "tool" to remove the fuel line, it was a hard round piece of plastic cut on the bottom so we could get it on the fuel line, and we used a screwdriver to push it in and release the hold on the fuel line.

No gas squirted out of the fuel line itself, but there was still some in the fuel rail...

I re-used the stock plate, and used shorter bolts. No leakage so far.

You know you can get a set of those "special tools" at any parts store for like $3 or less right? ;
