Default shackle flip question

i will be installing this kit around the first of the year. this kit appears to use the stock shackles. my question is: once i install this kit how much longer of a shackle will i need if i want to lift the truck say 3 more inches?

I don't think you want shackles quite that long..... (the additional 3"...) You would prolly need four to five inch longer shackles to accomplish that. And that's getting pretty friggin' long. I would be afraid it would folk up like a cheap cardboard box in a hard corner, or with a heavy side load. (like, going around a corner while pulling a trailer....) That would be FAR too much excitement for my tastes.

Well a slightly larger block would fix the issue as well and be more sturdy, however you could get some axle wrap on hard throttle.
