Default Pinion seal leaking

I completely rebuilt and replaced my rear end. New seals, bearings, everything.. I recently dropped my drive shaft out of my truck on the highway and I recently noticed now my fluid is leaking down my pinion and dripping off the pinion nut. When I turn my yolk there's play in my gears now. I'm hoping I don't have to reset my backlash now or replace my pinion seal being as it's 4 months old. Any input?
