Default Pros and cons needed!! Exhaust

I am going to put a new muffler on my 2001 Dodge Ram v8 sport 1500. The only thing I can't decide is if the Flowmaster super 40 series are worth the extra money compared to the original Flowmaster 40 Series? Just wondering if you guys could give opinions about the matter. Can't wait to order it, I have the two mufflers priced, just need to decide!!
Thanks!!

Ive heard they're basically the same and i've heard that they're different. Personally i can tell a small difference but nothing major. To me the super 40 is a bit louder but Ive never heard the same truck with eack one on it so i cant say for sure. Why not just run the super 44's?

Well, mostly the reason was the cost. BUT. I found a auto store in Lansing MI (100 miles from me) which has amazing deals. I bought a new Flowmaster Super 44 Series for $58 plus $10 for shipping. Score.

I run a single in dual out 18" magnaflow muffler and love the sound. I would highly recommend magnaflow over flowmaster due to performance gains and personal preference...sometimes I wish my truck was louder but eventually i am going to install an electric cutout to solve that problem

I've heard that the 40s are pretty loud, so I've very happy I found a cheap super 44 series. From listening to a lot of trucks with the super 44 and the 40s, it seems like it all depends on the variety of how they set up the whole system/the year and type of truck.
