Default Blend door question

So this might be a dumb question but i will ask anyway. I've got the no heat issue like alot of others.New thermostat, burped the system.Still only luke warm heat.My question is this.Is there a way with a 99 Ram with the Electronic accuator to just adjust it to hot all the time. The reason I ask is I am recovering from a wreck the other day and am in no shape to do to much messing around on the floor of the truck.I just figured if i could get it set to hot all the time for now I can repair it this spring.

The heater core might be clogged. And the only way to set it to hot, would be remove the motor and hold the lever with tape or tie wrap.

I forgot to mention I did flush the heater core and both hoses are equally hot.

Try the temp cable adjustment procedure, zman has posted it up recently. (just check his recent posts.)

I hate to say it, but, flushing does not always work. And the hoses can be hot even if some of the tubes are clogged. I guess you need to verify that the blend door lever is not broken first.

The 99's had that? Thought that was a 2000 model year trick? No huh?

Prolly the busted coupler that is oh so common with those...... Maybe you could bribe one of the neighbor kids to install it for ya.

I thought that too, maybe he has a later model 99. In any event, now we know 99 is an iffy year on motor or cable. Of course every year from 94 to 2002 is iffy on these rigs.
