Default Projector Headlight + HID problems

I recently purchased a pair of Spyder Projector Halo Headlights for my 1995 Dodge Ram 1500, and not only will they not fit flush in the headlight slot (best thing that came to my mind) but also will not support my HID bulb. (9004) Any suggestions?

Need more info: what bulb does the projector take? Why does the 9004 bulb not fit, ie, bulb hits sheild? What type plugs do your ballasts have? Pictures would be nice too if possible.

If they are like my headlights (one separate bulb for high and one for low beam) They are wired for 9007 sport bulb plug and come with smaller H7 bulbs and H9? for high beams and marketed wrong as regular ram headlights..they fit fine though after hammering away some of the metal behind one of my fenders that was a sport fender... they also have big stickers that say not for HID use... check the other projector thread someone else started yesterday for more info on the wiring.
even though they say not for Hid use you can still get the hids for the type of bulbs in the projectors...They actually have to say that to be DOT approved since any aftermarket HID is not DOT approved. some have had graet luck and others have had things melt over time..

Aftermarket projectors will use a different bulb than the stock one. it will be a bulb designed for projectors. Mine took a H1.

Yeah I am not sure either on my highs. Eventually I will be getting a retro fit with bi-xenon done. so no more dual bulbs.

Good info. So they won't sit flush in the hole for my headlight assembly until I hammer out some of the metal behind the headlights? Also, I will have to get two new bulbs for the two bulb slots?

they should fit fine if you dont have a sport.... they are a bit tricky to get in though... I remember a lot of wiggling to get all the posts in evenly... theres a trick to it I believe but damn if I remember what....
I had one sport fender (i think) and thats what I hammered to make room where the back of the bulb sits.
