Default coil spring help

with the weight of the new winch/bumper combo and a 7 year old lift my springs are worn out....so i want to replace i can do 2500 gas springs correct cause they come in 8" lift which is what i need i would be afraid the 1500 7" springs would sag again

I know your pain, I just went thru this on my Jeep Grand Cherokee (daily driver), the stock springs were sagging so bad in the front that I was 1/4" under stock height WITH 2" spacers. My over-size tires I put on after doing the spacers were scrubbing as soon as I would start to turn the wheel even without my winch on the front!

Luckily for me, Old Man Emu makes 3" lift coils in a Heavy Duty flavor, made specifically to carry heavy aftermarket winch bumpers and winches. All better now and even an extra inch of lift compared to the stock coils and spacers.

You should be in a lot better shape with the 2500 springs...

Yeah and obviously a 3800 lb. Grand Cherokee with uni-body doesn't have the springs to start with that a full size pickup has so just the 100 lbs of winch hanging off the front so far ahead of the solid axle really did them in. Spring isolators were shot too, so flattened I had to use a scraper to get them off.

I knew of Old Man Emu from my owning Wranglers days and was pleasantly surprised to find they made a set of Grand Cherokee springs with about 50% greater spring rate than the stockers. The HD springs in the rear should help with towing too, although I mainly use my truck to tow. A little stiff over RR tracks and off-road, but no worse than any truck I've owned...
