Default Where to tap into ignition switch signal under the hood?

For my efan install I'm finally installing...

I need a line under the hood that is hot when the ignition switch goes on.

It would be nice if there were something easily accessible up near the under hood relay/fuse box.

Grab something off the ASD circuit. (coil, and injectors)

Sweet thanks. Install actually came out pretty clean. I still have some wiring finalizations to make when it's light again tomorrow. Then see if I can figure out how to remove the old fan. haha.

I'm thinking big cresent and a BFH.....Quick whack should break it loose. Someone said they thought it was a 26mm but someone else stated that 26 did not work.

Did you go with a kit from somewhere or piece one together? I have been giving this some thought after I finish body work.

I'm running the TCP shroud. Cheapo 16" fans off Jegs, a relay/sensor/fuse diy fan cable kit off jegs, and a sensor mount adapter I bought from a company called Steiger. Probably about $380 for everything. I'm liking it but I had to relocate a couple mounting holes on the shroud and piece together a few dds and ends.

Got my wrench on there but the pulley is spinning. Is there a holder for that pulley?

When I did mine I built a tool out of a 2x4 and put a bolt thru it. Picture a lawnmower blade - to get it off you gotta jam a piece of wood in there to keep it from spinning...

It's not adding any hp, just redirecting some of it from the fan to the wheels. I don't know for sure how much but I think it varies with speed. At freeway speeds I don't think the fans are dragging on the engine much. It seems like off the line and at lower rpm's there must be like 10hp causing all that air blowing I hear. I still haven't gotten the thing off. I'm going down to my buddies shop tomorrow and he said he'd make one of the techs remove it for me. haha. Guess I''ll find out after that if having it off helps or not.
