Default 98 keeps dying

98 2500 gas with 116k, if the truck sits for more than 2 days or so the battery dies, I've put two different new batteries in it already, never had this problem before until the truck sat for about 2 months or so only being used a few times. theres nothing that i can find staying on that would draw that kind of juice. could this be just a short somewhere or is this signs of the alternator going bad?

If the gauge in the dash is reading 14 volts or above when the engine is running, the alt is prolly fine.

Check and make sure the glove box lite, or the under hood lite aren't staying on.

alt is above 14 volts when the engines running so i guess thats good news.i have the under the hood light disconnected and the glove box light isn't staying on either. guess its just a matter of slowly narrowing it down.
