that sucks. for the price of the light you would almost expect it to be tested before it was sent.

That's to much to ask. So far all I've wasted is time, all money I've spent on crap lights has been refunded without a argument, that tells me they know what they are selling is crap.

I'm still waiting on a 3157 set from Hong Kong, after that I will have no choice but to try more expensive ones.

Still waiting on Hong Kong lights, its sad when I can buy a super LED flashlight that can light something up 300 yards away, is shock resistant enough to mount to my rifle and uses 1 AA battery for $7.50 shipped from the US but It takes forever to find good inexpensive LED replacement bulbs for my truck.

I wish I spoke Chinese, I'd be on the Phone getting these manufactures to make me a good product I could resell. Rosetta Stone anyone?

when i ordered stuff from that area of the world it usually took a minimum of 3 week for them to arrive.

From another site I'm on, where someone posted some information about LED dimmers:

I can spend days of my life looking at all those cool circuits).

Edit- here's one with brightness control http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm2794.pdf

Here you go, you can buy a LED dimmer for $15 http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...hlight%20Hobby

i ended up buying one of those dimmer switches off eBay for $4 and it does dim led lights but i don't know if it would work on the the 2nd gen trucks without some headache. it appears that the dimming is done on the negative side of the circuit so you would have to separate the ground connections to the lights from the ground connections to the gauges which would be a nightmare.

Is there a possibility of putting a resistor on the wire behind the switch that dims the lights? It just doesnt seem like my truck is complete without the option to dim my lights. feels like its broke....

I thought my switch was broke after installing the leds, bought a new switch and still nothing. come to find out its the leds not the switch. (got a brand new switch though)

they try to contact me all the time through email when I but stuff direct from china manufacturer asking me to be a reseller.. Thats what so many people in the us and around the world do these days...They become resellers...But rarely do they ever go to china and set quality standards, and when thats done I've been told the manufacturer are changing those specs to save money before the inspectors even off the plane home..

i don't know if a resister would be enough to dim the leds lights. the dimmer that i bought off ebay goes from full 12volts to about 1volt.
