Default Tire & Wheel Question

alright, i'll soon be putting 18x9 chrome monster XD wheels on my truck. as of now i have 265/75/16D treadwright guard dogs on my stock wheels and they have the BFG A/T sidewall. when i put the 18x9 monster's on my truck i was planning on going with a 285/65/18E nitto terra grappler. the terra grapplers weigh about 52lbs. do any of you have an idea of what the treadwright guard dogs weigh? i wanna know how much of a difference i'll be able to feel from my old tires and wheels. i wanna know how the ole 318 is gonna be able to pull them. anyone got any opinions? preciate any info.

285 from a 265 you are not going to notice that much of a difference. They will outweigh your old setup though. You are going to a bigger wheel and should weigh a little more but the terra grapplers are a 10 ply tire and are rated for around 60 psi. Which makes that setup a little heavier even if you drop the air n you tires to around 35. Still heavier but not that big of a difference performance wise. You will notice it but, it wont kill it. I have a 3/4 ton suburban with 33 mud grapplers been running 40 Pei on em and no problems. Still have great tread and got about 12000 on em

265/16's are nominally 31.6 inch diameter.

285/18's are nominally 32.6 inch diameter.

If you still have the 3.55 gears, you will notice a bit of a loss of bottom end grunt.
