Default Still noticing some "valve rattle" after Plenum Fix

Ok guys, took the truck on my runs today, truck runs great, got two problems/issues though.

1) I'm still noticing some valve rattle when it's under load, before I did the plenum work it was real loud and sucked the life out of the truck. Now it really faint and seems to have no effect on power.

Should I shut up and give it a few days or is there something else I should look at?

When we had the valve cover's off we inspected the valve springs and what we could without removing the heads, everything looks in tip top shape.

2) I'm noticing a "ticking", sorta like an injector on steroids but only when I'm on the throttle, I can't hear it at idle. Thoughts?

We did not remove the injectors during repair.

Advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Run some more seafoam thru the engine. May still have some carbon buildup leaving hotspots in the chambers. (actually, for this particular purpose, water would work just as well. just don't give it much at a time. same procedure as seafoam basically, you just don't need to stall the engine. in fact, you should try and NOT stall the engine.....)

Ticking may be an exhaust leak? If you run the seafoam, the smoke may show you the leak.

I'll try the water trick tomorrow after work.

Before we did the repair I thought I noticed a exhaust leak, kinda like a little "farting noise", thinkin it's coming from the driver side exhaust manifold.

I think you should run your spark plug wires as per the tsb and fix them so there not all tangled. Running them this way is not good. Pix is from your plenum plate thread.

Eh, I have the same issue. My truck is just sick. yours may be the same. Feels down on power and sounds like it's got a bad spark knock. Swiss-cheesing the catalytic converter helped some, but I'm staring down the barrel of a motor replacement.

Sorry to hear of your impending motor demise.

But on a side note, wouldn't that make a great country song
