Default 4x4 wire ?

Okay so i had a problem with my 4wd, the light kept on flashing on and off, while changing my oil the other day i noticed the 2 wire's that come down from i think the t-case was only on one of those prongs that stick out of the vacuum actuator, my only question is when i pushed the wire back on those 2 prongs they dont seem to stay on very tight? anyone know a way i could keep them on tighter so it doesn't slip off again? thanks

Vacuum lines...... Yeah, the little connector feller tends to degrade, and loosen up... mine have little zip strips around 'em to squeeze 'em tighter. It works....... but, that's about all I can say for it.

Big purple -- More information/description is needed. We don't know if you are referring to problems of the transfer case, like shifting from 2HI to 4HI. What are you doing in this case?

If its not getting into 4 hi, then there would be no 4 wheel drive. Or, if you are getting into 4 wheel drive, then describe what you think is the problem. Walk us step by step.

Where is the grinding coming from? Front axle, or t-case?
