strange tire wear
I have a set of 34" Mickey Thompson Baja Belted that I put on last spring with zero wear, and I'm getting some really odd abnormal wear with that that looks almost like under-inflation (but they arent under-inflated). The tire is wearing in the green areas with the most significant wear being in the middle of the green area - right where it points down in the tread pattern. It looks like under inflation, but they aren;t underinflated - unless I'm just blind and missing something.

I'm also getting some wandering in my steering, so I replaced quite a bit up front and I currently have the steering column bushing on its way here to try and help that problem. I expect some pulling from Bias ply tires, but I'm not expecting this odd wear. I still have a lot of tread left, but when I rotate them, I want to fix the issue.
New I have:
driver/pass hub, 4 ball joints, tie rod, center link, drag bar link, adjustable track bar, etc
4 wheel alignment, etc.
aside from under inflation, what could cause this type of wear?

what is the air pressure? have you checked with more than one gauge? I got some funky wear when my alignment was out on my jeep...it doesnt always show on just a corner or outside edge..I had actual sharp tread corners sticking up
98 dodge ram 1500 sport.
springs - not sure on age - i bought the truck used last spring. they are aftermarket springs and look fairly new, so i'd imagine they aren't from 98.
shocks are fine. i pulled them and they function correctly. They are BDS shocks - not sure on model.
I've probably put about 5,000 miles on the tires.
this only happens on the front two tires. both front tires. exactly the same problem and exactly the same severity and wear.
I'm inflating to whatever the factory psi was - they are bias ply, so I didn't want to over-inflate. i've checked with multiple gauges, and the oil change shop also checked them.
alignment i had done and then took it back and had it rechecked. it was all within spec.

says not to exceed 30psi cold. i filled them to 30psi cold.
it also says over 40psi in the mountains can explode.

What is the width of the wheels? Are they stock or aftermarket? I'm wondering if the wheel is too wide , pulling the sidewall out and in turn cupping the tire. Instead of this U the tire is like this W. Just a thought.
