New shock help
I have a dodge ram 1996 1500 5.2 v8 with 8 inch lift I need shocks I found skyjackers but I was trying to get something smoother on road I'm more 80% road 20% off road . Universal shocks?,Are all shocks eyelets and stem the same?
I had them too...I still have an unused remote control system to adjust them from in the cab I never installed in my jeep.... keep in mind 5000's have a way better warranty than the 9000's do... I would suggest looking at the shock poll in the DIY section for more info...or try the "search" button...
no they won't. use tirerack.com as reference.
8" of lift you'll need to check BDS, Skyjacker, Topguncustumz, etc. for more specific. Quick call to an offroad shop.
Sheesh, that much lift with an 80/20 breakdown? Malll crawwler.

As you are only offroading @20% the 7" shocks will be ok just going to have to watch it when you flex it out. The other opt is to get your tape measure out and a couple of different types of jacks and start taking measurements.
Mall crawler nice haha it's only 20% because the farmers here shoot on sight I've went threw one tailgate already ha so 7 won't max out they wil still fit what if I extend the rear mounts up an inch and put shock extensions stems for the front
. (Joking, probably a BAD idea)
