Default High Idle

I have only had this truck a few weeks so I am going through everything. One thing at a time. When I first bought this truck it had no exhaust no computer and the front end had to be rebuilt. I ordered new computer slapped it on and drove it home. I couldn't really tell at the time the idle was high because there was no muffler just a straight pipe once I git it Home I noticed it was idling over a grand about 1200 and dropping to 1000 back and forth. I put cat on it and a borla muffler and I changed the sensor on the back of the throttle body. Everyone once in a while it will idle around 800 but most of the time its at 1000 or little higher. I read another post on here that said the computer manages idle, so could it be that the computer I bought could be janky? I checked all vacuum and replaced a lot of the lines this week when I was fixing tcase vacuum switch. Not sure what else to check on this.

Could be the coolant temp sensor convincing the PCM that it's really cold out.

Next to the thermostat housing. Drivers side. Two wire connector. The other one (single wire connector) is for the gauge in the dash.

if you have an andriod phone I recommend this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ELM327-v1-5-..._Tools&vxp=mtr

it works with free "torque software to tell you live sensor reading and computer info as well as stuff like mpg as well as being able to see DTC codes and pending codes and clear them.
It also works with laptops and free software. they make usb versions too..just stick with version 1.5 or higher and it should work fine. I bought two. Otherwise your gonna be blindly changing stuff and not knowing whats having an effect.
