Default Nv3500 swap

Found a wrecked 96 5.2 nv3500 ram in the junkyard short box reg cab. Gives me ideas..

I have a 97 extended cab sport. I wanna pull out the manual trans, master cylinder and clutch pedal and do a 5 speed swap into my truck.

Do I need the computer and wiring harness and the trans crossmember? I can get the drive shaft as well.

I just want advise from someone who has done this before and knows how involved it is.

Driveshaft from donor vehicle won't work. Too short.

Grab the PCM, and wiring harness as well. Or, talk to hemifever about reflashing yours to exclude the auto trans stuff. (still want the wiring harness.)

I haven't done this on a dodge, but, on a few other vehicles......

Perhaps. Grab the shaft anyway.... (it'll be too short) but, if the spline count is different from auto to manual, you might be able just swap the snout.

nvm, lol just read the first post, yea will be to short maybe look for a truck with the same wheelbase as yours with a standard tranny, to steal the shaft out of, or take both the driveshafts to a shop and have them fix you up.
