No, but, would give you an intermittent miss......

is it an auto or a maunal trans? when i had tps issues my truck ran like a bag had to adjust the idle screw up on the throttle body to limp it home...iv heard of bad vavle jobs causing the plugs to foul and making it run like a bag id check your plugs...
