97 RAM 1500 WITH vacume issues after heater core change
had heater core changed and now heat will only blow out defrost---i have checked all under the dash lines,1 vacume line coming from motor is broke off near fire wall, but cant see were it used to go,it t's off and goes up above firewall but i assume the broke 1 use to go through firewall,my question is----were does it go and hook up under dash ???----thanks

It is the 1 going through at the heater hose i assume because it is not coming out there, just broke off at the t and the other 1 goes up at the upper cowl, can this be rerouted to avoid removing dash again??---i did have this done at a shop as i have changed the evap coil a few years back and knew what was involved to have to tear dash down again-----now this,i will talk back to them where i got it done, but was wondering if i may could just rerun it myself without major labor
-----thanks

also--i had a badly busted dash which i have since put a cover over, but was wondering if the cover was removed if i could get to it through that busted hole or if it is actually hooking up in the duct?????----thanks
If what is hooking up in the duct? the vac line? Not sure about removing the cover. If you unbolt and drop the steering wheel, remove the screws on top of dash by the windshield and loosen the 2 bolts(but do not remove the 2 bolts on either side of the lower dash behind the side panels), the dash will just swing out of the way. Don't forget to remove the cable for the shift indicator.
