Default I need hydro-assist reccomendations!!

I've had it. Really, really had it. After dealing with 6" of wheel slop for 5 years, two re-manned gear boxes, two steering stabilizers, three junkyard gear boxes, and replacing everything from the steering wheel to the tires, the steering gear seems to be sticking when turning to the left. I replaced the pump and belt tensioner this weekend, to no avail. I went back to PSC's website to research, and the hydraullic assist kit is gone!! Google is not much help, either. Iwant a quality kit. Anyone gone this way already? I have 33" tires now, but plan to go to 37" in the future, so it needs to hold up. Thanks!

P.S. I don't think I can bear another remanned box. Every time someone tells me to go that route, I want to hurl something at their head. $300 is a lot of money for rubbish.

Psc used to have a complete steering upgrade kit, NEW pump and gear box with better gear ratios.

But its been awhile since ive been to their site.

Red Head probably makes the best gear box.

The re-manned boxes have all the same problems as junkyard boxes. The re-man process usually doesn't replace time-worn parts, so, your 'new' steering box is just as sloppy as the old one it is replacing. Only real fix for that is going with a quality NEW steering box, such as the RedHead, or similar. (couple members here have used these, and were VERY happy with the results.)

I'm happy with my borgeson box and steering shaft. I had a reman'd pump on there and it made the steering extremely stiff when the truck wasn't moving. I installed a PSC pump last week and it's a breeze to steer. Plus, 3.5 turns lock to lock on the borgeson box is really nice when parallel parking. I have dual steering dampers and 35's and you could turn the wheel with one finger. I do need to tighten the box up just a little bit, but *******ly no slop in the steering with that setup.

The PSC pump I got was for a diesel. I just had to cut the adapter that they had on the pulley shaft and then it was a direct replacement.
