Quick little rant: PCV valves are REALLY cheap at the dealer

Another quick little rant: If you're running the same PCV valve was on your truck when it left the factory then you deserve to find out the hard way that your plenum gasket is just fine!

I noticed fresh oil leaking around the PCV valve the other day, other then it *appeared* NOT to be gunked with oil.

Alright, so tonight I got the truck in the garage ready for the Plenum project. Took off the Throttle Body and confirm oil inside. So, What are some other inexpensive things I should do while I go at this thing? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cap, rotor, wires, plugs, while the intake is out of the way. It just doesn't get any easier. Timing chain and gears? (depends on your definition of inexpensive.....) Water pump? Kegger mod?

It also does not hurt to have an oil pressure sending unit on hand.

Hey All, Road bump here...I am to the point of lifting out the Intake Manifold. I can lift it completly up in the front and the back right(driver) side. It however seems to be hung up on the back left(passenger) side. I've been lifting, twisting, pulling, trying to get it to budge and it won't. I have removed the 12 bolts from the intake plus the 2 holding on what seems to be a vacuum assist. Thoughts?
Thanks for your time!

Probably just stuck on the gasket, or some RTV.

hey all so it is my EGR tube....Any idea what size wrench I need to get it off? I had a crescent wrench on it and torqued on it like hell. Didn't seem to budge at all. Sprayed some penetrating oil as well...Really frustrating location as I am sure you all know. Suggestions?
