sweet thanks that helps i just dont have 5 grand to build a new set of axels...gotta see how long the half tons will hold out

If i was you. Find a king pin dana 60 out of a old ford 1 ton and all the peroblems with balljoints will be gone. jmo. To hell with the dana44 junk.

I just referred to an article that had a number of things to do.

It will not cost $5K to do reinforce the Cs, which is what I was hedging at you....

i was refering to 5k to build a set of dana 70's and dana 60's....part of the reason i want to keep my 44 is cause i got lockers front and rear on my truck now. I worded that wrong. Thanks for the article it gave me ideas to extend the life of these 1/2 ton axles till i save up for the swap...I still have a motor i have to put in lol gotta save as much money as possible for now.

There's probably a hundred people on DF that would buy those D44 lockers/axles, if you swapped in D60's.

yeah i figured i would be able to off load them on here just know i wont get the $1200 i paid but i might be able to recover some of it....Just a tidbit on the motor....its built putting heads on today and then its going to go in this week as well
