get a can of Lysol spray, with a smell you can tolerate. I like "fresh linen".
open the doors and leave them open. turn on the ac with fresh air intake so its sucking in outside air through the cowl area of the passenger side. spray a generous amount of lysol into the cowl. you'll see it getting sucked in. repeat several times and do this regularly to kill/eliminate the mold and mildew.
