You have to remove the motor to check. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...-door-fix.html

when you flushed the heater core, did you just push water thru once and only one way? You have to force water thru it back and forth both ways and several times to get some of it out, Also just because you have flow in one and out the other doesn't mean much. all the runners in the core could still be plugged up, and if they are it goes in one tube across and out the other, not thru the whole core. think of it like your radiator. example Take the bottom hose off and put water in it. it goes straight out the bottom, not thru the tubes first. I have spent 20 minutes or more on some cores to get them clean enough to get good heat. I also use a big clean drain pan to flush it into so i can see if i am getting anything out of it. I also like the idea of cleaner sitting in it for a while, then flushing. I dont disagree with poss door not working either but this is easiest thing to do.

I had the blend door stuck on mine... hadn’t used heat for a long time and the deteriorating blend door seal had stuck to the case... after many times of cycling the switch back and forth it eventually broke free... followed by a cloud of foam crumbs out the vents.

I eventually pulled the dash and rebuilt everything.

What did you use for the foam? Did you upgrade to the metal doors that heater treater sells?

Blend Door USA offers two options for the 2nd Gen Dodge Ram. One option is for the actuator coupler itself. The other is the complete repair kit. Both are available at www.blenddoorusa.com.

This driver replaces the plastic driver for the only steel door in the 2nd Gen. This door is driven by the single 12 volt DC motor.

All parts are manufactured in Michigan and are CNC machined out of solid aluminum. We proudly guarantee everything we produce for life.

This kit fill fit 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks. It will also fit 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks.

Note: The 2nd Gen Driver is included in this kit.

This is a complete kit to repair your 1994-2002 Ram truck. This kit includes new solid aluminum HVAC doors to replace the Recirculation Door, Panel Door, Defrost/Floor Door and a bracket to repair your original metal Blend Door. This is a complete repair kit that will eliminate all of the weak plastic components from your HVAC doors.

The OEM Blend Door is made of metal and does not break. However, it has a weak plastic driver that often fails. Our kit will re-utilize the OEM metal door, but we include a CNC machined aluminum driver to replace the weak plastic driver.

The OEM Recirculation Door is made of plastic, but already has a metal arm on it that connects it to the vacuum actuator. Our kit will re-utilize the OEM steel arm, but we replace the weak plastic door with a solid aluminum replacement door.

No, I cleaned the stock door and used 1/2”x1/4” adhesive backed high density closed cell foam (Weather stripping from Amazon, or big-box stores).

Check my past posts in the “What did you do today...” thread

It works perfectly.
