Exclamation whoops...

well my luck has finally ran out.. running 37s on stock driveline didnt work lol.... so snapped tail end of tranny in half broke transfer case in half and off mounts. and shot drive shaft out on to highway and broke rear yoke. so.. question is can i run a 3/4 tranny with a 360 motor in my truck with 3/4 transfer case. or are they even different.. thanks!!

The bigger tcase will work, but unless you do a manual Trans swap you'd be putting the same tranny back in. after you put your lift on did you shim your rear axle?

no, but who ever had the truck before me already had put the skyjacker 5inch lift i have only put on a coil spacer and bigger blocks. and a body lift. so i dont think it made much of a difference besides getting a alighnment. i just didnt know if the transmission and transfer case were different between a halfton and a 3/4. im really suprised the 9.25 didnt break before the .. well everything else.....

Coil spacers on top of lift coil springs, ok. Did you use a clocking ring for the t case after you added the 3" spacers? if not there might be your reason why you took out your drive line, did you have a t case saver in the t case as well? Does the front end have a set of long arm in there or are you using the 5" lift ones with 8" of lift.

no and yes.. but that wouldnt explain why it broke now..its been like this for a while.. a whilllllee.. it broke when i went from ice to dry hard surface.. i goosed it on some ice to go cause some cars were coming and soon as it caught it pooped out.. but like i said ive been goin through mud and using 4wd reguarly without any hassle before.. it was in 2wd when this happened btw..

just my 2 cents. i had kinda the same prob. but it was caused by the pinion nut not being torqued right. and over time those nuts can loosen up, mine did, and when it got put back together it wasnt torqued right, and then a week later the driveline snapped. rear end locked up, driveshaft flew off, t-case housing cracked, and tranny got ****ed, sooo 4k later it all got rebuilt. good as new now though. just a thought... you can look in the service manual, it says it in a warning.
