Default Radio dies. Got a new one still nothing

So I have a 98 ram I've owned 3 of them and have installed radios in all of them normally a 1/2 hour process and done. Well I had the one in my current truck for about a week before the tuner decided not to work. (it was a free well used junk jensen radio so I didn't expect much) but the cd player still worked so I just used that for the next 3 months. So the other day got in my truck turned it on and nothing. I thought it was done for so I got a new radio switched the adapters and still nothing. I had a test light out clipped it to the ground wire and have power through the red wire all the way through the wiring adapter and at the plug that goes into the radio. Now the yellow wire I don't. Should I? Besides the red power wire the ground and the yellow wire the rest are all speaker wires correct? And I also don't have the infinity sound so no amps or anything to worry about.

I think there should be two power sources.... one with ignition off, to maintain memory and such, and another with ignition on, to actually power the radio. Is the radio the only thing that doesn't work?

yes radio is only thing that doesn't work checked all the fuses. I believe that the yellow wire is the memory wire but wasn't sure and no power there through the wiring adapter didn't check it at the factory plug

According to the 01 manual......... Switched power feed is red wire with white trace, uses fuse 8 in the dash fuse block.

Constant hot is a pink wire..... thru fuse 12. Don't know if colors changed over the years....

Nope I believe not theres a pink wire going into the factory plug and then the wiring adapter that plugs into that has the yellow wire coming out. So the pink wire should have constant power no matter if the key is on or off. So hopefully Its the adapter thats pluged into it thats bad cause i dont want to try and Chase one pink wire all around the truck
