Is the t-case popping out, or is the cad disengaging? (lite in the dash goes off.)

Make sure you are getting good vacuum at the actuator, and only on one line at a time. The only thing you have left out there that you haven't changed, is the switch on the t-case. Those tend to wear out as well.

I am having the same thing on my 99 2500 the light comes on indicating 4wd and then will randomly go on and off.

I could not find any vacuum leaks anywhere.

Do your vents switch when you step on the gas?

And does your cruise control work, if you have that?

my cruise control works, but when it accelerates with a/c or vent on it kicks over to defrost. plus when i bought my truck they said the 4x4 does not stay engaged. could this be the same vacuum problem? plus it has kind of a crappy acceleration.
