I just used a garden hose. Cooling systems only run at low pressure - whatever the cap is rated for. I would be leery or using more than that. Glad it worked tho and I hope you don't get any leaks!

I tried to use my garden hose, but, my water pressure here sucks...... woefully inadequate to the task.

Cant blame you for using the car wash. I did mine when we still lived on the farm with a well and the pump pressure was good. I thought the gunk was a stop leak someone had put in because the truckhad a fairly new radiator. Now after reading this i wonder if it was just gunk precipitated from the antifreeze and laying in the bottom loops of the heater core.

I've died of hypothermia seven times already because I'm too stupid to replace a heater core properly.

Oh, wait, no I haven't, so I guess I'm not.

You come here to post this nonsense in a two year old thread? Maybe you should go and visit the local department store, I hear they have "real lives" on sale......

If you work in a shop that can't manage to get the heater to work in a dodge truck, when we have folks here that do this because they don't wanna pay someone else to do it, and are NOT mechanics by trade, but, they can still get cranking hot heat...... and you can't....... Please let us know what the name of your shop is, and where it is located, so we can warn people to stay the hell away from you, as you evidently don't have the first clue.

Rick's Mufflers???
I guess going to a muffler shop to get your heat fixed isn't a wise choice.

I guess that going to Rick's Mufflers for anything other than to pee on the service desk is an unwise choice.
