Friend of mine has a 440...... though I think he sold the trans....... 10.5:1 compression, radical cam, dual four barrel high rise intake....... Conservatively rated at 600 horsepower. Of course, power band doesn't start until like 3000 RPM......

Its all good, i just want a 350 cause theyre cheap to build, easy to find parts for and they ar good motors. But if i have to get the motor, trans, tcase, and custom driveshafts its gonna be cheaper to get a 318 and build it.

Anyway, i would have to go the efi route correct? With my truck being a 97 having to pass emissions i couldnt do a carbed motor, am i right?
