Why are you replacing the distributor?

Power steering upgrades look like a very good plan. The steering linkage on my 2500 looks a lot like the linkage on the half tons.... I think the only real difference is where the steering stabilizer mounts, but, that may just be a year to year difference too. There was a thread where a guy made his own cross-over steering using heims instead of the standard ball type joints..... that doesn't look like a bad idea either, just be sure to use rebuildable, high quality joints......

What do you want to do with your truck? Exhaust is all about flow, and scavenging. Y-pipe is the biggest restriction. (provided the cat isn't clogged.....) Just replacing that will be an improvement.

If the distributor doesn't have any slop to it, leave it. Replacing it gets complicated.

Go with some shorties, an aftermarket y, with or without cat.... depending on if they do emissions testing by you.... and a single three inch, with the muffler of your choice. It will open things up nicely, and sound good.

Or:

Long Tubes, Y, and 3" single. If you do more mudding than towing...

Get a Cloyes Double Roller from rockauto, they cheap and there's a discount code good for a couple of bucks off, shipping is pretty quick.
