Bad wheel bearing?

Bad wheel bearing?
I've made a thread regarding my dent in my bumper.
But recently, I've been hearing this noise when I turn either left or right.
It doesn't happen everytime, but it'll happen occasionally.
I was looking around on google and they said it would be a bad wheel bearing?
I can't really go out and check at the moment to see if that's true, someone else is using my jack -_-.
My frame isn't bent or anything, my bumper is just a little dented.
If that is the case, How does one go about replacing a wheel bearing.

Pull the wheel. Pull the brakes and rotor. Pull the axle shaft nut, (which may not be reusable......) three or four bolts on the backside of the knuckle hold the bearing in place, pull those, but not all the way. Leave the socket on there, and rap on the end of the socket to get the wheel bearing to break loose. (make sure the axle lets go of the inside of the hub.....) Remove old wheel bearing, install new one. If you live in an area where salt is frequently on the roads, expect it to hang on pretty damn tight.
For an easy test. take the truck for a drive, down a nice, flat, straight road, with little or no traffic. Run it up to about 25-30 MPH, and then swap lanes HARD. The bad wheel bearing will growl the loudest when it is on the OUTSIDE of the turn.

My 'DIY' assumed 4x4 though. 2x4 isn't much different. Have a look at the new bearing when you get it, and all should become clear.
