rear driveshaft u joints

Default rear driveshaft u joints

Replacing both of my u-joints on my rear drive shaft , what should i replace them with?

precision makes a good u-joint, just make sure the new ones have grease fittings so you can grease them yourself.

+1 on the precision u-joints. And take it from me, if you buy the greasable ones (like i did the first time) you have to actually grease them from time to time. Mine lasted a year and a half without ever greasing them. Oops. Not a fun chore to have to do again in such a short time. Those little needle bearings in there turn into dust, without grease, and it makes some pretty crappy noises. LOL. Lesson learned. Grease the u-joints at every oil change, is what i was told.

i got spicer for the front u joint (that connects the slip yoke to the driveshaft) and precision for the rear. Had to go with spicer on the front because the precision one i had, the cap broke will putting it in .
