Default 99 1500 V8 manifold water leak-just rebuilt

My son has a 99 Dodge Ram 5.3 just had rebuilt motor installed less than 8,000 miles ago. He was driving home from work and noticed it started running hot. Had truck towed home, we added water and noticed water is squirting out of the intake manifold gasket between the block and manifold especially if you squeeze the radiator hose.
Any ideas what would cause this leak other than perhaps the bolts not being tightened in that area.

Will tow back to shop that put the rebuilt motor in but just wondering what that could be

Improper torque, or sequence on the intake manifold. Gasket slipped. RTV around water passages blew out. Any of a number of things. If its squirtin' water.... did any get into the oil?

+1... the front and back and corners are good candidates.

We dropped the truck off at the engine shop where the motor was replaced. The owner was very upset, he said it is a Dodge what do you expect. Said that is normal in Dodge vehicles for the intake to leak. This was not a leak it was a flood as the water was pouring out.
My son has owned the truck for 5 years and has not had any leaks.
Came very close to jumping down the guys throat for the way he acted but felt it was best to try and keep my cool.
This same guy was very nice when we first talked to him and had the engine replaced for $2800.00
Now with a warranty repair looking him in the face he was an ahole.

Has this water leak at the intake been a know Dodge issue?

No. It hasn't. Do a search here. 99% of water leaks you find will be for the bypass hose, water neck, timing cover, etc. (not to mention the thousands of heater cores...) Yours is the first Manifold leak I have seen.

Its ONLY a know issue with any engine if the moron putting it together doesn't pay attention or doesn't know what their doing.
