Default Spectre CAI Nightmare...

Put it in today. 1.5 hr/5 beer project!! The heat shield bolt holes did not line up-8 of the ten of them. After some messy mods, I was able to make it work but what a pain in the #ss!

You would think they could fab them correctly. On another note, the only difference I noticed was from a standstill only, it was a little more responsive. Once I was moving (second gear) not noticeable. We'll see on MPG

When i installed mine it only took me 20 min. It seemed like a quality product for 80 bucks

mine bolted up flawlessly. so, maybe the five beers made it difficult. the product is well engineered for the cost. post pic of how yours was hard to assemble.

Really?? Its no wonder I've been a member for longer than 90% with the posts of a newbie....

I had no problems with mine on my old truck other than i had to call and get the new air hat with the grove so i had 100% throttle...

Got my spectra cia installed with no problems. 30min. Did it 2 weeks agi. Good product for the price.

So did they stop lining up after the the 3rd or 4th beer?

Haha...No. It started as a no-beer job and once they didn't line up I started cracken em'. If they would have lined up, I imagine it would have been 25 mins tops to complete.
