I put a cheap aftermarket coil in my truck and it fried my pcm..so the mechanic says... I changed pcms after putting a new crank senson and stock replacement coil.. Now it has spark but no injector flash...starts when pouring gas down the tb...injectors will work when the mechanic tries with his dianostic machine....is there a vin lockout or could the pcm have a security feature?

 

And the truck is a 01 ram 4x4 5.2..... Im having difficulty finding a replacement pcm aswell

 

I am also having a hard time finding a jtec (pcm) for your 5.2.
Can you please post your org jtec numbers so I can cross-reference them.

You sure ALL the ground wires are clean and connected? Check the 2 near the power steering pump. There is one large and one small one.

You are correct. Mine is the same part number you found... but mine was a lot cheaper by going with a reman pcm from cardone. I got mine at a local store, but looks like rockauto will ship a cardone reman to canada.

If you really need a computer, 790269V is the part number you want. Look up rockauto.com
