oddly enough one set is the 5.0 yellow ford injectors for mustangs... a popular size for the 94-95 rams.... odd that they are enough for 39 psi with a obd1 pcm and later they took such big injectors?

ok I just wanted to update this thread...I have installed bosch "0280155712" generation 3 injectors from a seller that let me test and compare a few different sets of generation 3 injectors and they seem to work great and have good fuel trim numbers so far... I hope to get some serious miles on them testing them this week...
They should work just as well on any of the 96-99 magnums...
the ohms load listed at witch hunter is incorrect...they are 16 ohms not 2.1 and flow much higher at 49psi than the 225cc listed there...

For those wondering,
I got them from socal fuel injectors... (socalfuelinjectors@yahoo.com) his ebay seller id is "socal_fuel_injectors".... He was very understandable to my predicament and sent me the injectors to test even after feedback was left and a month had passed... His website is down right now and is being revamped. they are totally rebuilt with new hardware and orings and flow checked to be a matching set from what he told me.. His prices were pretty good too.
I mentioned I may be referring some guys from here to him so mention I referred whomever is reading this and interested and he may cut you a discount of some kind.
It may be wise to hold off a day or two until I get more than 20 minutes of driving on them but honestly It looks like they are a winner... and I got them installed in under an hour...
I will start a thread on them tomorrow and report my further findings and there after I get more miles on them. __________________

Yeah, if you think of it logically it seems strange. But Logic and the EPA don't belong in the same sentence.

Apparently when you tighten emissions, like the switch to ODBII, you have to spend more effort maintaining cat temperature within the ideal, and that takes priority over fuel economy.

The way it was put to me, you can build for economy or you can build for emissions, but not both because the parameters are basically polar opposites. Power is a side effect of the improvements made in modern engines, so you get a bit more power compared to a carb'd 318 or 360.

So after advanced combustion chambers, roller cams, computer control, and fuel injection, the power is up a bit but economy is the same. You can't lean out an ODBII engine for economy like you can with ODBI or no black box, because it generate too much NOx to meet ODBII, and you might throw fuel at the engine to adjust EGTs.

So, basically, they're cleaning up the planet by scrubbing the motor with your wallet.

I believe the 01 came stock with red generation 3 four hole injectors so I would stick with them... this is an upgrade only for the guys like me who had 1 hole generation 2 injectors..(4 hole sprays a fine mist vs a jet from the older ones which wastes unburned fuel) ..
This isnt an upgrade in size since bigger injectors wont help at all and arent needed unless your running a turbo or supercharger... the stock size ones can handle 350 - 400 hp...
on a sidenote I fired up the truck this morning and let it warm up with no issues or extreme readings on the fuel trim / 02 sensor readings...
