Have you put a coder reader on her yet for that check engine light? Also what's the red light on the dash?

Might wanna drop the pan and see how the fluid is and see if you find any surprises... Hows the fluid level? Check at normal temp, in neutral and set brake....

+1 on this!

Could be fluid level, bands, adjustment needed, governor solenoid and pressure sensor........The CEL might narrow this down, and same question about the red light!

Check into the CEL and red light and the fluid level. let us know what is happening.

There are more lights on, on your dash than a Christmas tree. LOL Check the code's! Which you can do yourself, and should know about since you've been here a while. Look in the FAQ/DIY section.

Haha ill pull the pan tmrw at a buddies house, and he's got a scanner to so we will see how it goes

That would cause the trans to overheat... getting rid of it is a good plan, even if it ISN'T plugged. (yet)

I doubt it is causing the problem, but as HeyYou pointed out, it's still a good plan to remove it. You need to get the codes read. And do the damn key trick and see what codes come up.
