Default Tire/Wheel Problems

I own a 1999 Ram 1500. Shortly after I purchased it, right after this past xmas, I notices that my passenger side tires were losing air. They would lose about 10-15 psi in about 3-4 days. I took them in to get remounted and balanced, and the shop used a bead sealer on the rims, said the problem was fixed, and I shouldnt be leaking air anymore. It is still leaking at the same rate as it was before I got it fixed. My question is, what is the likely cause for this? Would new tires fix the issue, or should I look at getting new rims? The tread is decent on the tires, not sure of the exact tread depth, but the mechanic at the shop said I should be able to get another couple thousand miles on them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance

You have the valve stems checked? You didn't mention it so thought to ask. Any shop will tell you new tires will fix it.

Are the rims true?

when the shop worked on them, they told me they replaced the valve stems. how do i see if the rims are true? I'm not really that knowledgeable about vehicles, im trying to teach myself how to fix things on it so i can avoid dealing with shops for little things.

Your not alone, my father in law has a tire that has a slow leak. New tire, new valve stem, nothing stuck in the tire.......

Find yourself a large tub. Fill it with water. Take a tire off the truck, stand it up in the tub. Look for air bubbles. Rotate the tire to check the entire circumference. Even a slow leak will become obvious.

Just where the leak is. Air bubbles.
