Is there a way to test that one?

Clean it first, see what it looks like. When you have it all put back together. Hook the battery back up, (leave it disconnected while cleaning.... and remove the TB from the engine to make it easier.) Leave the air filter box off, have a friend turn the key to On, but, don't start it yet.... the pintle on the IAC should push ALL the way in, and may back off a little bit. Once cranking, it should open up. If it misses a trick, just replace it.

Ok I guess I can try that. Drove it all day yesterday and the high idle didn't happen at all, so I think it just may have been the new throttle body. But it did want to sputter and almost die at a lot of stop lights. When it happens, it will sputter for a bit (almost like a lopey cam) and then it seems like the throttle opens and sucks in air, giving it a loud vacuum sound.

Well I replaced the IAC sensor tonight, seemed like it ran ok for awhile but as soon as I got home from the shop, I put her in park and the rpms started to drop, and then it sounded like the TB opened a bit and started sucking in air, but it was still dying. I tapped the gas and it popped back up, but still sounded like it wanted to die.

Now I guess I can test the fuel pressure? Unless there is a break in period for a new IAC sensor that I misread somewhere. What does everyone else say?

Did you reset the PCM after you changed the IAC?
