If you do a search for 46re transmission, you will find a number of threads that show the rebuild of the tranny, including the solenoids.

Also in the FAQ/DIY section you can download service and parts manuals.

If you got to the FAQ/DIY section there are some threads on tranny rebuilds. If you look through them you will find plenty of pics and info about how the parts are mounted in the trans. This link https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...-progress.html has some good pics for reference.

No, it's just the assembly for it, far as I know the actual solenoid is up under the valve body.



The arrows point to stuff you have to remove to place the assembly, the long black line is the piece on the driver side you unbolt from the valve body to get to the 8 pin connector.

Depends on what you need.

The assembly has screens on it which can get dirty, but if you having crazy shifting issues that are related to the tcc/od solenoid you'll probably need to replace the solenoid too.

No shift problems just the rpm's fluctuating and using more gas
