Name that transmission noise
groaning, roaring, whining, and clacking in reverse when cold is a common problem. its addressed in a TSB to replace a seal or valve or something in the valve body. i'll find it in a minute.
verify its full of the correct ATF+4 fluid and beyond that, don't worry about it. you can prevent the noise by shifting to neutral for about 30 seconds before taking off for the first time.
if it was an actual mechanical clatter, it would do it all the time.

Alright, I am game to leave well enough alone. It sounds like it is doing the same as everyone else's. As long as it is not creating problems that will leave me stuck in the middle of nowhere with a dead tranny I'm fine.
Thanks guys
