But those dont have anything to do with the cluster. And for the record, I dont think it will start without a cluster, but then again it may. I honestly dont know. My suggestion... try it and see.

And I sided with Wh1t for the fact that Ive searched for numerous things and couldnt find jack ****. A lot having to do with poor title subject matter. More so, probably my own fault. If I see "help" or "truck problem" I dont bother looking, so then I'm more apt to start a thread about my problem or question. Now that leaves yet another thread on the same thing that has been covered prior.

Gettin away from my rant now.

ALso, you started out with an attack on the poor guy saying that he was selfish and that he would probably not report back on his findings. THAT is not an interpretation, that is being unfair.

Heck, you broke more rules than him by attacking a new member. Do you realize that you could have created a S***storm with a post like that? Then Mods need to get involved. "Luckily" the OP ust decided to not come back to this forum. Good job drumming him out...at least we still have you.

YOu just pointed out why using the search is not really that good. Our trucks are not gettting any younger. I remember in 2004, there were A LOT less of the "HELLLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!" type threads because most trucks ran fine on here. NOW....whole different story. The amount of "my truck won't start" threads are coming in like the mongolian horde. Even if you do a search, you still need some one on one help.

What I am really getting at is try to be more like HeyYou. 99% of his posts are posts that actually offer help.

I do try to help, at least on what I have the knowledge. And yes, I know these trucks are getting older, hense more problems. Bit what I'm trying to say is that the "help" title detours me in a search.

IMO, a good thread title helps others as well as themselves. I read the title, of its something I have no idea about, and arent interested in, I dont click.

I'm sure I am not the only one to do that. On the other hand, if I start a thread, I try to have a little "info" in the title because I dont want to waste yours or anyone elses time on something you may not know or care about.

Im not trying to be an azzhole, Im just being honest.

Just so you know, my replied are to whiteknuckle unless I am directly quoting you.

I can't NOT agree with what you are saying, but you just have to realize that this is a forum offering technical advice. Most people become members because THEIR CAR WON'T START.

Basically, unless you are going to offer help, then don't push them around. We aren't in the business of running people out as soon as they get in the door. Whiteknuckle was completely off base in what he said, and could have done it in a more civil way.

Ok, that's enough of this one. If the OP comes back, he can start a new thread for this topic.

For the record, I don't think the PCM cares if the cluster is plugged in or not. Most communication goes thru the CTM in any event, and if you end up with a no bus error, your truck will still start.
