Default New to Forum... just got a 2001

Hey guys I am new to the forum just got a 2001 dodge ram 3500 project. It has no instrument cluster. My question is there a way to start the truck without the instrument cluster being in the truck?

Sorry dude, no I'm not, maybe a little. This thread is selfish as evidenced by the crappy thread title. It helps no one else that would search on the same issue, which is something along the lines of: Will truck run w/o an instrument cluster?

Did you even attempt to search? If you did, then provide what "keywords" you tried.

I vote for this thread to be DELETED and the poster start over.

Lastly, once you got a response...you'd probably run away and never come back to report your findings/results/etc. in order to help someone else out.

By all means nothing ppreventing you from helping whomever the poster is.

Per sticky #5 here, no indication of a search was done.

If you want to continue speaking of my sphincter do it in PMs, since that is a personal matter and not a technical one. APpreciate your concern.

Well, I second Wh1t3nuKle, and we are trying to help zman in this area so that he can have a better wrap on here.

whiteknuckle, you have been a member for less than 6 months. You are still a noob, so get off your high horse.

Nowhere is it written that you need to put down what keywords you used in a search.

Oh, you can't put down the message that you put down and then say "respond to me in PMs. You could have done the same.

noobs.

Welcome to the 2nd Generation Dodge Ram section.

If you wish to post a technical question or problem, please use the appropriate main section of whatever generation your truck is. Also, before you post your question, please use the search function. If you cannot find what you are looking for, then post your question in the appropriate section.
The ASSUMPTION on the OP was that a search was done, even though there was no indication of one, hence asking what keywords they used that brought them to a last result of making a thread. It's a fair question.

If they truly were in some sort of bind and I spoke out of turn, then I would surely swallow my words and graciously apologize. But all we have to go is what the OP is...and hence MY interpretation.

You can interpret your own way and give the OP the answer to their question.

LOL time on a forum is proportional to n00bness. What a joke.

I never liked people who made replies to the posts that offer nothing to the problem and are usually just trying to trump up their post count.

Also, you are not a MOD, so no one really caares about your interpretation of the rules!!! You have been here for 5 months and you think you own the place.

Also, when you type in "starting truck with no instrument cluster" then you get nothing of value. YOu get hundreds of posts with the word "starting" in it. If someone is new, sometimes the site can be confusing to help you find something in the search area.
