Default Leveling kit on 2500 springs.

I've been reading around and from what I read if you put 2500 springs on a 1500 you gain around 2" of lift. Right now on my 1500 I have a hbs 2" leveling kit along with a 2" add a leaf on the rear.

I can get 2500 springs cheap at a local junk yard and was thinking about picking up a set. The hbs leveling kit will work on the 2500 springs and I was wondering what else I would have to do with the front end if I went this direction....for the rear I would just get another aal.

Longer control arms, adjustable track bar, dropped pitman arm, possibly longer brake lines, drop brackets/longer sway bar end links, longer shocks, a partridge in a pear tree.

I was doing some looking around and from what I found for a 1500 and 2500 the part numbers for pit arm drops trac bars and shocks are the same. Whats the difference in them? The only difference I've found was in the control arms and I already have adjustable sway bar end links that are good for 0-5 inches.

I always thought the 3/4 ton pieces were a bit beefier, but, that may or may not be the case...... I have read about several folks upgrading steering components to the 1 ton pieces...... that might be worth the thought as well.

Some of the parts might be the same on a "Factory" 1500 as on a 2500, but, you already have 2"'s added. if you change the springs and add 2" more, all that goes out the window. And you need the other parts as HeyYou has stated.
